With a snap
With a pop
Those around me go
Blasting off into the sky
The flames set in motion
I watch still frozen
As my airborne friends shoot by
The light goes around
I remain unlit
I lay impatiently, with a frown
With a snap
With a pop
More and more soar
The fires keep burnin'
And I keep yearnin'
To follow those who fly

The question I cannot stand, yet hear it more than any other, "What did you do for summer?" it is all they say! I grasp at imaginary trips up north, and rock concerts that never happened, but ultimately decide to tell the truth. "I did... nothing."
"Nothing? You must have done something!" I snapped, "Alright, you wanna know what I did!? Here you go: I slept in till noon almost everyday, I sat on my ass staring at the computer screen, while eating assorted donuts and candies. When I wasn't staring at the computer screen while sitting on my ass, I was staring at the TV screen while sitting on my ass. Other things I did would include sitting on my ass while using the toilet, and sitting on my ass while rubbing graphite onto a piece of paper(I was feeling adventurous, as you can probably tell). It's boring, I know. But you know what? Maybe I LIKE boring. I'm like that one old guy you always see sitting on the bench at the mall. He's there every time you go to that mall, and often on the very same bench. Doesn't he have ANYTHING better to do? Well maybe he's doing what he enjoys? Maybe he likes watching people walk by all day(especially those hot highschool chicks, y'know?) Maybe he's happy! Can't you ONCE think of the old guy?"
I'm sorry, I felt like doing that. I just thought it would be a funny way to express myself.

I'm done trying to trick people... Until I've lulled you into a false sense of security, that is! You better keep an eye on me!
